About the Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and highly accountable Project Client Success Manager to manage a portfolio of approximately 10 high-value enterprise customer accounts while partnering closely with senior CS leadership to drive retention, risk mitigation, and expansion.
This role is ideal for a confident customer leader who is comfortable operating at the executive level, managing contractual discussions, and navigating complex stakeholder environments. You bring solutions, not problems- and know how to push back thoughtfully when necessary to protect both the customer relationship and the business.
The Project Client Success Manager is a key player on an incredible team as we execute our mission to help local governments and school districts take the next step from good to great.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage a portfolio of ~10 strategic accounts, serving as executive sponsor and primary escalation point
- Develop and execute comprehensive account success plans aligned to client business objectives
- Drive renewals and identify expansion opportunities to maximize long-term account value
- Lead executive business reviews and strategic planning discussions with senior stakeholders
- Proactively identify and mitigate customer risk through health monitoring, adoption tracking, and engagement analysis
- Navigate complex renewal cycles, manage scope expectations, and handle objections with senior client leaders
- Partner with senior Client Success leadership on escalations and high-impact retention scenarios
- Engage confidently with finance and operational leaders, providing structured, solution-oriented recommendations
- Reinforce contractual boundaries professionally while protecting long-term partnership value
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales on renewal and expansion strategy
- Partner with Product and Engineering to advocate for customer needs and influence roadmap priorities
- Ensure alignment between contract commitments and operational delivery
- Share structured customer insights to inform company strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain disciplined documentation, KPI tracking (retention, renewal rates, account health), and consistent follow-through
- Contribute to scalable success frameworks and playbooks to elevate overall Client Success performance
Critical Skills/Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a related client-facing role.
- Experience supporting clients in finance, accounting, or financial operations (e.g., SaaS tools, ERP solutions, workflow platforms).
- Translate client technical and business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for internal delivery teams
- Scope projects effectively by defining requirements, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies
- Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate with CFO-level executives.
- Proven success in improving retention, driving customer adoption, and scaling CS programs.
- Exceptional relationship-building, project management and communication skills.

Compensation:
- In the spirit of transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $100,000- $120,000 CAD, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at ClearGov, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, interview performance, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring beyond the base range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
