Sr. Product Manager (Hybrid - Toronto, ON)
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Sr. Product Manager for our Engagement Studio squad with a passion for learning, a kind heart, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor to join our growing team. The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for leading the discovery, delivery, and evolution of products that help governments communicate financial information clearly and enable meaningful community participation, working closely with Design, Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams.
The Sr. Product Manager will be a key player on an incredible team as we execute our mission to help local governments and school districts take the next step from good to great.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior customer and market voice, proactively engaging ClearGov clients and prospects to anticipate needs, shape product direction, and inform strategic decisions
- Own end-to-end product discovery, synthesizing customer feedback, business goals and technical constraints into clear product strategies and prioritizes initiatives
- Lead the development of product requirements and user stories for complex initiatives ensuring readiness for engineering execution
- Partner with Product Leadership to define and evolve product vision, translating strategy into outcome-driven roadmaps
- Create and maintain a product roadmap balancing customer value, business impact and delivery capacity
- Own backlog strategy and prioritization making tradeoff decisions in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Actively manage delivery execution, identifying risks or bottles and driving resolution to keep teams focused on critical path priorities
- Provide product leadership within agile teams, facilitating sprint planning and standups
- Mentor other product managers to increase the effectiveness of the overall product team
- Own complex product opportunities, including the development of new products from discovery through delivery
- Lead product analysis, such as adoption, churn, and usage metrics to identify opportunities
Critical Skills/Experience:
- 6+ years of product management/development or related experience
- Proven success leading product development in modern, cross-functional environments with iterative delivery and continuous learning.
- Familiarity with GovTech or community-engagement, particularly with financial reporting is a strong plus, or a demonstrated interest in learning this space.
- Proven success in managing complex, multi-faceted SaaS product development in a high-growth, early-stage environment
- Track record of owning complex products from discovery through delivery
- Superb organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively
- Applied experience leveraging AI tools and capabilities in product development
- Proven ability to actively listen to customer input/feedback and identify solutions
- Proficiency with the Atlassian product management suite, including Jira and Confluence
- Profound attention to detail and an informed POV on what makes product development work
- Working knowledge of user-centered design principles and design quality standards
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
- A strong interest in the local-government space, along with the willingness and ability to get up to speed quickly on the key buyer personas and processes
- A roll-up-your-sleeves, GSD approach to the day-to-day. A willingness to hustle and innovate whenever and however necessary to get important things done.

Compensation:
- In the spirit of transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 CAD exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at ClearGov, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, interview performance, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring beyond the base range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
